If your are a cross country skier, don't ever forget the C&O
Canal towpath or the Western Maryland Rail Trail - Hancock Station.
Begin your daily trip at the Rail Trail parking area located just
off Main Street in the center of Hancock.
Another great location for cross country skiing is at the Buck
Valley Ranch, just 15 miles from
Hancock. Book a room and enjoy a winter weekend!
For a day of snow tubing, you may not be aware that the nearby
Coolfont Resort outside of Berkeley Springs has a snow tube run
with a tow ramp to the top of their mountain. And it's only 14
miles from Hancock.
And for the down hill skier or snow boarder, don't forget the excellent
facilities available at the Whitetail Mountain Resort just 25
miles from Hancock.
